I'm a 60-something woman, California born, a mother, who feels the need to share my strong opinions! I have worked in many male-dominated fields, not the least of which was in the yards and tracks of Southern Pacific transportation company in the 1980s. I was the first girl in my high school to take Autoshop and have had many life challenges as a woman in America in my time. I have studied in London, earned a BA in film, worked in independent film in San Francisco, traveled through Europe, am an avid reader, have a big beautiful black lab named Sam (who is the love of my life) and I'm really new at this blog business. But I love to write and vent and opine so here goes!
