Catherine is a middle school language arts educator in North Carolina. She and Laurie met four years ago when their daughters were attending an art class. Their first conversation was a spiritual connection. As they sat on a sidewalk bench, waiting for their girls, they realized they shared the same passion about literacy and the same philosophy of education. They soon became teaching colleagues at a charter school and now are both moving on to new ventures. Their love of books and literacy brought them together and will keep them connected forever.
