Scott Stoneham is the Founder of Lonestar Bucket Trucks, located in Fort Worth, TX, which specializes in providing bucket trucks and other specialty vehicles for industries like electric power line services and outdoor utilities. Additionally, he is the President of LoneStar Enterprises Limited, an umbrella LLC he established to manage his various ventures in the automotive and utility vehicle sectors. His innovative marketing and business strategies drive Scott's success, allowing him to transition from selling high-end automobiles to distributing commercial trucks and heavy machinery. Since the launch of his utility vehicle dealership, his business has experienced steady growth, making him a respected leader in a niche market. Stoneham's career becomes even more remarkable when considering his personal challenges. In 2012, Scott suffered a life-changing spinal cord injury after falling about 14 feet through a collapsed deck. The fall resulted in broken legs, a shoulder injury, and severe damage to his L3 vertebrae. After undergoing a 12-hour surgery, Scott spent nearly two years in a wheelchair and underwent extensive therapy to regain his ability to walk. Despite these challenges, Scott’s determination never faltered. Today, he continues to live an active and fulfilling life, managing his spinal cord injury with gratitude for the ability to walk. He credits his recovery to the Grace of God, his medical team, and his relentless personal drive. His personal experiences have deeply influenced Scott’s approach to business. His "never give up" mentality has been the foundation of his business decisions. Despite his challenges—economic downturns or market fluctuations—Scott remains focused on providing excellent customer service and expanding his business. His education at Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business gave him the necessary strategic insight and business acumen to navigate complex business challenges and identify growth opportunities. While at Texas Tech, Scott began his career in automotive financing. His ability to close deals and exceed customer expectations quickly led to promotions, and he advanced to roles such as Finance Manager, Finance Director, and Director of Sales. After graduating, he joined Van Tuyl Automotive, a privately held dealership that Berkshire Hathaway Automotive later acquired. Scott played a key role in the company’s success, sharpening his sales and customer relationship skills during his time there. In 2005, Scott realized that the luxury vehicle market was susceptible to economic fluctuations. He recognized the opportunity to serve a more stable niche, so he launched an online dealership specializing in high-end vehicles tailored to business owners and municipalities. This new direction proved successful, but the 2008 financial crisis posed a serious challenge. The downturn affected luxury vehicle sales, and Scott’s dealership faced financial difficulties due to the inability of his customers to secure financing. Rather than giving up, Scott pivoted and returned to working for larger dealer groups, which allowed him to rebuild his career. This permitted Scott to gain valuable experience and insights that would prove essential for his future business endeavors. In 2016, Scott identified the growing demand for utility vehicles, particularly bucket trucks, as municipalities focused on upgrading their infrastructure. Drawing from his experience in automotive sales, he launched Lonestar Bucket Trucks, which quickly became a trusted provider of these essential vehicles. As industries increasingly focused on power, communications, and internet infrastructure, Scott’s business was well-positioned to meet their needs. Scott’s success in the utility vehicle market is largely due to his ability to understand customer needs, build strong industry partnerships, and provide high-quality products and services. His focus on customer satisfaction and his expertise in heavy machinery allowed Lonestar Bucket Trucks to gain the trust and loyalty of clients. Scott has driven the business's continued success by anticipating market trends and staying focused on customer-driven solutions. In addition to his professional work, Scott remains committed to giving back to his community. He is actively involved in fundraising events and supports several charitable organizations. His passion for automobiles, particularly classic and muscle cars, continues to play a significant role in his personal life. Scott’s knowledge of vehicles and engines, cultivated during his childhood in Texas, continues to influence his career and personal pursuits. Scott Stoneham’s career and personal journey testify to his resilience, determination, and strategic thinking. Despite facing significant personal and professional challenges, he has built a successful business while remaining dedicated to his community. His story highlights the power of perseverance, adaptability, and focusing on customer service to achieve success. Today, Scott continues to expand his business, pursue his passion for automobiles, and contribute to the community, making him a true example of hard work, vision, and unwavering determination.
