John Overley

John has spent the last 25 years developing sales and business development skills in enterprise software and wireless telecommunication sales, sales management, and business development for several Fortune 100 and 500 companies including IBM, Informix Software, Progress Software, Tektronix, and Bristol Myers Squibb. In addition, John has expertise in M&A, start ups, and strategic planning. Over the last eight (8) years, John has been a recognized telecommunications wireless pioneer and entrepreneur, having co-founded a rural wireless broadband telecommunications company called Camvera Networks. Camvera developed and implemented the the first rural broadband market model for cities and counties in Georgia and expanded this model to 9 states. Camvera deployed over 35 Navini (now Cisco) CDMA and WIMAX and back haul networks in cities and counties in 9 states over a 6 year period delivering much needed broadband connectivity to under served and non served markets. John currently is leading the wireless practice at Digitel Wireless, a Digitel practice. Digitel Wireless is a full service WiMAX and IP network integrator providing WiMAX consulting, business modeling, design, RF& IP engineering, site acquisition, licensed spectrum search and acquisition, installation, and after the sale support. Co-developed and patented a soil and moisture "probe" network platform that provides a water saving and productivity farming agriculture solution.
