Fledged - emptynestingchick

I'm a young (ish?) empty nester, the single mother of an only child who is in the process of leaving the nest for college. Most of my friends starting having children in their 30's and many have babies and toddlers now, and so my experience has been a pretty solitary one. I have a very full, happy and complicated life beyond mothering, but at this transition stage I'm still trying to figure out how to bring the other things forward after an adult lifetime of relegating them to back burner.
