I love predicting the future. Not every prediction is my actual belief (I'll tell you when its not), I just enjoy imagining different interesting and plausible visions of the future. Mix together technological and political predictions and a thousand interesting stories may be written. I grew up with an interest in politics from my earliest memories. My father was the NC State Republican Party treasurer some 30 years ago, and he's the political junkie that got me into it all. There still isn't much of a Republican Party around here, and there hasn't been since Reconstruction. It's all horribly corrupt, but this might be the year their system goes down in North Carolina. In college, I took my interest in politics and the future to a new level. I'm still just an amateur student of changing technology, but I just graduated earlier in 2010 with degrees in Economics and Mathematics from UNC Chapel Hill, and I also took plenty of Philosophy, Political Science, and Business courses. My school prides itself on its liberalism, which I think is part of an inferiority complex that Southern liberal arts universities have. At any rate, my exposure to liberal ideas has only strengthened my belief in conservative economic and philosophical principles. I am currently looking for work to last until I am ready to go to business school, but since I don't want to teach, and the insurance and financial industries that might employ me are under unrelenting attack by the Obama administration and Democrats in Congress, I have been preparing mentally and physically to enter the Army and start my path to becoming an Officer. Its the patriotic thing to do, it puts my life where my mouth is, the Army has produced many business leaders, and its actually a pretty good deal to boot. In the meantime, I write this blog and I've been thinking about how I can help some of my local Republican campaigns. There you go, probably more than you ever wanted to know about me.
