I love food. I love thinking about food, reading about food, cooking food, giving food. Nigella Lawson, in ‘How to Eat’, wrote about “plain food, warmly given”. That sums up my approach to cooking. This blog is about good, family, vegetarian cooking. It’s a curation if what I cook, for all my friends who ask me for advice as they turn away from meat-based meals. I also review or adapt recipes from my extensive collection of books and also try to adapt non-vegetarian recipes. Oh, and I live on a small island off the south coast. I'm a huge fan of the island's farm shop and draw inspiration from the seasonal and wonderful produce there.
