My background is in emergency and strategic planning which I have done in various capacities in government, NGO's, and civic organizations for about 30 years. I am a retired Navy pilot and commercial airline pilot with 37 years/ 17,000 flight hours which has helped me develop a more controlled practice when dealing with the unexpected. I believe that it is far better to be prepared for what might be handed to you than to succumb to the unknown and feel regret for what you could have done. Emergency planning is not popular, just necessary.
