I'm a software engineer that enjoys building open source tools in the healthcare space. Currently I'm the principal investigator for a MITRE research initiative called Crucible. Crucible is a comprehensive Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) testing infrastructure and test catalog designed to evaluate the accurate implementation and interoperability characteristics of FHIR. I'm also also the associate project lead for MITRE’s Tacoma project, a federally sponsored initiative to enhance the clinical quality improvement framework and associated standards. Previously I have worked on the software infrastructure for the open source population health reporting reference implementation popHealth (http://projectpophealth.org). I also designed the HQMF based calculation infrastructure for the open source Cypress Clinical Quality Measure testing and certification tool (http://projectcypress.org) and I led the development of the Bonnie eCQM testing tool (https://bonnie.healthit.gov).
