Amy M. Kuhl Cox

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Amy Kuhl Cox received a BFA in Art Therapy and Photography from Millikin University, and a Masters degree in Art History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. A Montessori-educated child herself, Amy received her American Montessori Society Primary certification from Lander University in Greenwood, SC and serves as a Toddler Directress & Creativity Program Directress at a Montessori school in Simpsonville, SC. Amy has worked as a Montessori artist-in-residence, a Modern Art History instructor, an Education Director at an area Arts Center, and a guest lecturer for parent education workshops. Amy operates her small business "Magdalene" from her home in South Carolina where she lives with her husband and two children. She sells her handmade jewelry, designs promoting peace, and educational materials online at and . In 2012, Amy illustrated her first children’s book, Am I Like My Daddy?, written by Marcy Blesy and published by Bronze Man Books. In 2014, Amy’s illustration, Peaceful Children around the World, will appear in a publication from Loyola Press.
